Why "Halimaw!"

Over the past 3 years we at Halimaw! Scluptures have built a name for ourselves among the collecting community as one of the independent kit makers who consisitently comes up with top-notch, high-quality renditions of our favorite comic book (and recently) movie characters.

Being a team composed mainly of comic book fans and movie aficionados, we do mostly characters that are close to our hearts. And as fanboys ourselves, we do our best to ensure that each statue that comes out of our studio is sculpted to best represent the characters we all know and love.

Also, unlike bigger statue producing companies, we produce our sculptures in smaller quantities. This means that we spend more time to ensure that each and every statue is sculpted and painted to near-perfection.



How Halimaw! Started

“Even before Halimaw! came into existence, I had always been an avid comicbook fan and statue collector. One of my biggest pet peeves about the collectible statue industry is the fact that the big statue producers make statues based on what will turn profits, not what the collectors want. And as a collector myself, I knew exactly what I wanted to see so I went for it – I decided to go ahead and make the statues that I want!

Upon seeing my statues for the first time, my friends expressed their amazement by exclaiming: WOW! Nice! Awesome! Fantastic! HALIMAW! (which means “Monstrous” in local slang). And thus Halimaw! sculptures was born.

It all started out with a couple of local collectors (who were impressed with our first statues) asking if we could make copies for them as part of thier collection. Word spread fast about the quality our statues. Soon enough, foreign friends and other forum acquaintances became interested and also requested for copies of our statues. And the rest is history!

Now Halimaw Sculptures! is dedicated to making kits that are at par or even better than international statue makers. We are committed to making every statue collector’s dreams and wishlists come true!”
